DESCRIPTION
Calcophos is a highly concentrated liquid fertiliser with a balanced composition of important nutrients. This special phosphorus-calcium formulation has been developed to improve the colouration of plants, a highly sought-after feature on the market.
Calcophos uses a unique combination of phosphorus and calcium to significantly improve fruit colouration by stimulating anthocyanin synthesis. By accelerating the action of certain enzymes involved in this process, Calcophos maximises the production of anthocyanins, resulting in bright and appealing fruit colours.
Calcophos also offers a number of additional benefits for growers. It supports the accumulation of sugars in the fruit, resulting in improved flavour and sweetness. This formulation also extends the shelf life of the fruit after harvest and enables better storage and transport. This significantly improves the marketability of the end products.
In addition to its colour-enhancing properties, Calcophos effectively combats physiological disorders associated with calcium deficiency. Annoying phenomena such as "bitter pit” in apple trees, "brown tip” in lettuce, "blossom end rot” in tomatoes and peppers and fruit splitting in citrus fruits can be alleviated by using Calcophos. Targeted calcium supplementation ensures optimal development and structural integrity of the plants and minimises the occurrence of these disorders.
For optimum results, apply Calcophos from the start of colour change until two weeks before harvest. This strategic timing allows the formulation to have its maximum effect on the colour and quality of the fruit, ensuring a rich and attractive harvest.
