Ion Cu is a concentrated liquid copper fertilizer in the very effective and fast-acting "ionized” form. The "activated” ionized form allows transport into the plant through both the xylem and the phloem. This double transport pathway makes Ion Cu suitable for foliar spraying and application through the irrigation system and is very effective in preventing and correcting copper deficiency symptoms.
Another advantage of Ion Cu is that it contains a combination of copper and sulfur, which provides multifunctional support to the plants. While copper activates some enzymes in plants that are involved in the process of photosynthesis, plant respiration and the metabolism of carbohydrates and proteins, the sulfur it contains is involved in the formation of amino acids, proteins and oils and is a structural component of the amino acids methionine and cysteine. These amino acids play a decisive role in the formation of new proteins in plants and influence growth and vitality. Methionine also controls pollen germination and the increase in the length of pollen tubes.
The Ion Cu plays a central role in the primary and secondary metabolism of plants by promoting regulatory processes in plants that are related to stress management and increased disease resistance.
